This French restaurant and bar offers an intimate and warmly inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its carefully crafted menu, making every visit feel like a charming escape to France.
The cuisine at Bistro Cassis is a vibrant celebration of classic French flavors with a modern touch. Iconic dishes like the Escargots Persillés—large snails bathed in a luscious, warm garlic herb butter—are often hailed by patrons as unforgettable. The Mussels Kronenbourg deliver a divine briny sweetness paired with subtle herbaceous notes, while the Soupe à l’Oignon (French onion soup) boasts a comforting and richly caramelized depth, crowned with perfectly gratinéed cheese.
For hearty mains, favorites include the succulent Duck Breast Cassis, celebrated for its tender texture and the balance of tart cassis flavors, and the elegant Steak Tartare, offering a fresh, piquant bite seasoned to perfection. Seafood lovers will savor the Shrimp and Scallops Fricassée, where succulent shellfish are enveloped in a silky sauce that elevates the dish’s delicate flavors. The Steak au Poivre with Frites presents a peppery richness that’s both bold and satisfying.
No meal here is complete without indulging in the decadent desserts. The Crème Brûlée offers a luxuriously creamy custard beneath a crisp caramelized top, while the Crêpes Suzette delight with their perfect balance of citrusy brightness and buttery sweetness. Pastry lovers will find joy in the Profiteroles au Chocolat and Mille Feuille, each bite a textural and flavor masterpiece.
Bistro Cassis also impresses with an enticing selection of salads and brunch offerings. The Salade Maison combines fresh Bibb lettuce, crisp cucumbers, and Campari tomatoes tossed in a tangy Dijon vinaigrette, while the Salade Au Chèvre presents crispy goat cheese paired with roasted beets and candied walnuts drizzled in lavender honey—a harmonious mix of sweet, earthy, and creamy elements.
The bar program shines alongside the kitchen, featuring an expertly curated wine list with both accessible and sophisticated options available by the glass or bottle. The cocktails garner rave reviews, with drinks like the potent Le Poire (a vibrant blend of Grey Goose Pear Vodka, St. Germain, and fresh lime) delivering complexity and freshness in every sip. Patrons appreciate the carefully mixed Bloody Marys and perfectly executed classic martinis, complimenting the meal flawlessly.
What truly elevates the Bistro Cassis experience is the heartfelt service. Customers frequently commend the attentive, knowledgeable staff—from bartenders crafting impeccable cocktails to servers who ensure every detail is just right. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, ideal for romantic dinners, celebratory gatherings, or an indulgent solo escape into refined French flavors.

The result is an elegant but unpretentious dining destination that celebrates the joy of food, drink, and conviviality.
Nice french restaurant in Huntington Village, intimate atmosphere and great french fare. The escargot in warm herb garlic butter sauce is a standout as well as the fillet of sole.
Bistro Cassis never disappoints. Everything I’ve tasted from the escargot to French onion soup and even the liver pate that they serve as a spread has been absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend it!
It's was good classic bistro Service was top notch, the people knocked it out of the park, from the bartender , who knows how to make a martini , to the waitstaff Food very good, everyone was happy all 7 of us, and the duck guy we went with loved the Tuesday duck, loved it Wine, great!!!! Tons of really good wine by the glass and the bottles were fairly priced Beer, good Cocktails very good, nice size bar So overall nice place and we'll run , hard working nice people
Love Cassis. You must have the pate. Then the escargot and fennel mussels. The tarte is the sweetest, most flavorful Flatbread I've ever had. The staff is friendly and accommodating (mostly. One guy could be a little happier ). The cocktails are delicious and tge desserts scrumptious. Love the atmosphere. Definitely a fav.
The cocktails are potent. They are definitely not watered down. I could only drink a sip at a time. I had the Le Poire—Grey Goose Pear Vodka, St. Germaine Liqueur and fresh-squeezed lime juice. It was well worth the money. This is the most authentic French restaurant that I know of on the Island. They serve free homemade pâté. They also make crêpes Suzette. I had a fantastic dining experience here. I will be back soon!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Bistro Cassis, where every dish was prepared to perfection. The Boeuf Bourguignon was exquisitely cooked, rich in flavor, and beautifully balanced. My wife opted for the Sole Meunière, which was delightfully light and full of delicate flavors. The service was just as impressive—our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations and demonstrating a deep understanding of the menu, which helped us make the perfect selections. A truly memorable dining experience!
This was the best French food outside of France I have had. The people were super friendly. The table was elegant. The decor is fun. You must try one of their excellent desserts!
Amazing food. I've not had steak au poivre since I was in Montreal 10 years ago. The warm welcome, and very generous hospitality are fantastic. You're encouraged to take your time and enjoy your food, even if you come close to closing like I did. Every bite for me tonight was just magical. Well worth the price of admission. Other than the hospitality, the best part, they REALLY KNOW how to make a rare steak. Warm on the inside, but still red and soft like butter on the inside
